Posts
1. Start a new post. Add title and some (or all) text and click “Publish”.
2. Select a featured Image that will appear between the post title and the first line of text. This image will provide a thumbnail for the post in the post archives and any other listing of posts. It will also decorate and post. Since the default display in post lists is 150 x 150 px, it is best if your featured image is at least 150 px high. The program will trim larger images to 150 x 150 for the list display.
To set the “featured image”, scroll down to the bottom of the right-hand column and select one from the media library or upload a new one.
3. Add any other image you need in your post. When you edit the post your will not see the featured image displayed (only in the preview). It is best not to add another image at the top of the post but other images can be added wherever they are needed.
4. Select one or more category for the new post. Select “Front Page” if you want to have it appear as a featured post on the home page.
The home page’s Featured Posts will list up to 5 posts that you have categorized as Front Page. They will be in order starting with the most recent. You should always have at lease 1 post in the Front Page category. Otherwise the title bar will appear with no posts listed.
You can temporarily disable (hide) a post by changing its status to “Draft or Pending Review”.
