Volunteer Training Registration

All volunteers are welcome – newly registered, those who have not volunteered for awhile but would like to, and active volunteers who would like a refresher. Note: please email or call us if you are no longer interested in volunteering.

Please see below for details about each unique session and reserve your spot ASAP:

Training Session #1 – General Volunteer Training
March 19, 2020 – 6:30-8:30 pm – ACLT Office
  • An overview of ACLT
  • An explanation of our mission and why we’re protecting the Parkers Creek watershed;
  • A description of amenities and programs ACLT offers to the public;
  • A description of our outreach programs, goals and challenges; 
  • A list of specific opportunities for volunteers (e.g., onsite and offsite events, trail maintenance, farm help, etc.); and
  • An opportunity to sign up to help with specific events and/or ongoing tasks.
 
Training Session #2 – Hiking Guide Training
March 22, 2020 – 10:30am-12:30pm – Double Oak Barn
  • For volunteers interested in becoming hiking guides and is primarily for certified Master Naturalists (both new and those who would like to brush up on their guide skills).
 
Training Session #3 – Weekend Welcome Program Training
March 22, 2020 – 1:00-2:00pm – Double Oak Barn
  • Information about our Weekend Welcome Program. We are seeking volunteers to spend a few hours at our trailheads on weekends to be available to share information with hikers and answer questions about ACLT.

676 Double Oak Road, Prince Frederick, MD
