We’re bringing back ACLT’s “Hit the Trails” 22-mile Challenge” for 2021! Our challenges have been very popular because they bring the community together while we wait for a time when we can gather in person safely.
Run/Walk/Hike all 22 miles* of ACLT trails! Explore trails you’ve never tried before and conquer some of our more strenuous ones! NOTE: This is a challenge and not a race! You can complete it over several days or weeks – not necessarily all in one day (unless you want to!)
Challenge is based on the honor system – keep track of your progress by tracing your routes on a trail map, or use a fitness watch or app. Share your progress, achievements, stories and photos in our very lively private Facebook Group for participants only.
Proceeds benefit ACLT’s ongoing projects that protect and preserve the Parkers Creek and Governors Run Watersheds.
Dates & Times:
Anytime between April 22nd and May 31, 2021 at times that are convenient to you. All ACLT trails are open from dawn to dusk daily.
Participants are encouraged to run, walk or hike all of ACLT’s 22 miles of trails. If it’s not possible to visit ACLT’s trails, any location is acceptable – just get out there and enjoy nature!
*Because some trails are “dead-ends” and require doubling back, the Challenge will actually add up to more than 22 miles total.
