We can’t be together literally, but we can come together virtually for the sake of Mother Earth! We’re replacing our annual Earth Day 5K with a virtual “race”!
When: Anytime Between April 2, 2020 and Earth Day (April 22nd)
Location: A route of your choosing that is at least 5K (3.1 miles) or more in length
Time: Whenever it’s convenient for you
Fee: A minimum donation of $15 per person. NOTE: 2 individuals or 1 family may participate for a donation of $35, which entitles them to a membership at the “Land Saver” level.
Proceeds benefit ACLT’s ongoing projects that help protect and preserve the Parkers Creek and Governors Run Watersheds.
This is a non-competitive fundraiser event intended to help people feel more connected to their community during the COVID-19 crisis. Stay-at-home orders currently in place allow and encourage outdoor exercise.
It is recommended (but not required) that participants use a fitness watch or run/walk app that tracks their route.
When you have completed your “race”, please share your “results” with us via email or Facebook. Send us/post:
- A screenshot of your route recorded by a run/walk app and/or
- A photo of you completing the challange and/or
- Any other creative ways to show your participation
Thank you for celebrating Earth Day with ACLT!
