11 - Arboretum Work Day: Join the Arboretum Volunteer Crew as they maintain these historic trees at Warrior's Rest Sanctuary. Work includes invasive vine removal, mulching, mowing & pruning from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Bring work gloves, clippers and a smile.
18 - Guided Canoe Trip: Depart from Warrior's Rest and enjoy a scenic tour of Parkers Creek from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Reservations are required. Please call us at (410) 414-3400 or e-mail us at info@acltweb.org for more information. Canoe trips are physically strenuous, requiring paddling for three hours (frequently against wind and tides), and may require participants to help carry a canoe for up to one-quarter mile over sand to access the creek.

18 - Vine Vindicator Work Day: Work to improve native plant species on ACLT lands by identifying and removing non-native invasive plants species. Meet at the ACLT south side trailhead barn on Scientists' Cliffs Road, Port Republic. 9am-Noon. Bring work gloves and loppers or clippers if you have them. Please notify the office if you are planning to participate in this land management activity.
25 - Silent Auction and Dinner Celebration: The theme for this year's celebration is "Locally Yours" featuring locally grown foods in a casual farmers market style atmosphere, both a silent and a live auction including works by local artists, and live music by talented local singer/songwriter Courtlyn Carr. The event raises funds to support ACLTs local land preservation program. This years event will highlight two new land trust initiatives planning of the Prince Frederick to the Bay Overlook Trail, in partnership with St. John Vianney and Calvert County, and our new Double Oak Farm Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. Tickets are $35 for adults/$10 for children 12 and under and may be purchased online at www.acltweb.org or by calling the ACLT office at (410)414-3400.

9 - Patuxent River Appreciation Days PRAD: Learn about the importance and beauty of the Patuxent River, Chesapeake Bay, and their adjoining waterways. For more information on PRAD, please visit the Calvert Marine Museum at www.calvertmarinemuseum.com.

Trip will be from 3:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m to see the full moon rising!!

24 - Barn Work Day: Join the Barn Volunteer Crew as they maintain these historic Barns. From 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Bring work gloves, clippers and a smile.

31 - Fall Colors Hike at Double Oak Farm: Join us for a hike through the woods and enjoy the fall colors 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather.

5 - Arboretum Work Day: Join the Arboretum Volunteer Crew as they maintain these historic trees at Warrior's Rest Sanctuary. On this day, volunteers will work to trim the evergreens in preparation for the annual greens sale and hayride. Bring work gloves, clippers and a smile. 1pm - 4pm
11 - Greens Sale & Beach Hayride: Purchase fresh cut evergreens for holiday decorations, drink hot cider and take a hayride to the beach from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Greens Sale benefits Warrior's Rest Sanctuary.
